YOUR FLIGHT DATA
Privacy in Updraft
Updraft is an online multiplayer game. This page describes the data used by this version of the game.
While you play
The game sends your chosen callsign, room code, flight controls and a temporary session token to the multiplayer server. The server calculates your flight and shares your callsign, in-game position, flight status and race progress with other pilots in your room. These positions describe the fictional game world, not your real location.
Race records
Where persistent race records are enabled, confirming a completed race saves your callsign, course, finishing time, the time of the attempt and an in-game flight track for playback. The track includes your simulated position, altitude, heading, controls and flight state. The fastest records appear on the public room leaderboard. Records remain until the operator removes them. Use a nickname rather than your real name or contact details.
On your device
Your callsign and choice of touch controls are saved locally. You can replace the callsign in the launch screen and change the controls there. Clearing the app’s stored data removes local preferences; it does not remove race records already saved on the server.
Connection and sharing
The server and its hosting provider receive your IP address when you connect and may process technical connection logs. The app does not request GPS, camera, microphone or contacts access. It contains no advertising or analytics SDK. Sharing a room opens your device’s share sheet; you choose the app and recipient.
Contact and removal requests
To ask about your data or request removal of a race record, include the room, callsign and approximate race date. Callsigns are not authenticated accounts, so the operator may need further details to identify the record.
Use the developer contact details on the app’s store listing.
